Version 1.0.17 of Troosby Android application bring more control to the way you view your financial statistics.
  • you can now configure when you want your "financial" month to start - e.g. see your spending statistics from 15th to 15th of every month (when you get your salary)
  • you can now control all the text sizes individually for any type of chart - XY chart, Pie chart, Bar chart

The Settings screen from Troosby Android App has now a dedicated section only for configuring the Statistics charts.
One very powerful new feature is the introduction of the "First Day Of The Financial Month" concept.

This settings allows you to configure what day should be considered as the beginning of the month from your financial point of view.
For example, if you get your salary on 15th of every month then probably it will fit you best if Troosby App will show you how much you spent from July 15th until August 14th - so from one paycheck to the other.

An other new feature introduced in version 1.0.17 is the possibility to configure all the text sizes from all the different type of charts available in Troosby App - XY chart, Bar chart and Pie chart.

In the image below you can see all the configuration options for an XY chart.
Similar configuration options are available for Bar charts and Pie charts.

In the current version of Troosby the distribution of the charts based on their types is like this:

XY Chart
  • General Report - shows the evolution of your spendings, incomes and savings from month to month
  • Savings Percentage - shows the evolution of your savings percentage from month to month
  • Spendings Evolution - shows the evolution for each of your defined spending categories
  • Incomes Evolution - shows the evolution for each of your defined income categories

Pie Chart
  • Spendings Distribution - shows the distribution of you spendings, based on your spending categories, per each month
  • Income Distribution - shows the distribution of you incomes, based on your income categories, per each month

Bar Chart
  • Average Spendings in Week - shows how much you spent, on average, on each day of the week
  • Average Spendings in Month - shows how much you spent, on average, on each day of the month
  • Average Spendings in Year- shows how much you spent, on average, on each month of the year

Troosby Android App version 0.9.1 was just released. This version brings to the users:
  • a Home screen build for all Android device resolutions
  • small bug fixes
As you know versions 0.9.X will deal with supporting all screen resolutions in Troosby Android App. Once this will be finished we will release Troosby App on Android Market.

Troosby Home screen have now all the buttons changed, with more light so it can be easily seen when you are out in the sun.

The buttons are more responsive and some of the bugs related to the Home screen where fixes so your Troosby experience should be much more enjoyable.

As some of you requested, the text under each button is a little bit bigger so it can be easily seen even on the smallest screen.

The interface is no longer scrollable but it adapts automatically to your screen resolution.

Troosby Home screen has a different layout for the landscape orientation.

This gives to the user an easier and more pleasant access to the main options available in Troosby Home screen.

Currently these two layouts are the same for all screen resolutions but we plan to introduce later different layouts based on your device.

We did move forward from versions 0.8.X where we introduced a lot of statistics features like the Incomes Evolution chart which will allow you to see how each of your income category evolved.

There are a lot of small, "hidden" features in these charts like clicking on the chart to see the value of a point or hiding or showing some categories with a long click.

Seeing how the incomes are evolving helps a lot in managing your finances and identifying where your efforts should be concentrated so you can maximize your profits.

Recording your incomes, spendings, transfers and adjustments is extremely easy from Troosby Android App or directly from Troosby Website so keeping your finances under control is close to zero effort.

We are hoping that you will enjoy all of these and please do not hesitate to let us know about any problem you have with Troosby Android App or with Troosby Website.

The next steps for us will be to optimize Login and Registration screens for all device resolutions.

Android Market release is very close!

Have a great day!

How to access RSS feeds?

There are several tools for subscribing to a RSS feed. It is only up to you to decide which one suits your needs. I am currently using an Android app called RSS Reader.
What I like about this app is that will notify me when there are new entries. But like this there are many apps out there so it is up to you to choose your favorite.

An other option to subscribe to a RSS feed is using the web browser. Most of the common web browsers have available the feature of subscribing to a RSS feed.
